What's wrong with this picture?

Well, first up, welcome to my new Blog. A few people have commented that my rants would be easier to enjoy if they were available online, rather than in email format - and since I love hearing what other people have to say, I figured that this would be ideal!

For any of you wondering 'who' Dee is - a quick biography might look like this: Sydney-based lawyer, working as legal counsel to an away from home advertising group; academically minded (B. Business, LLB (Hons) and one semester away from the completion of an LLM) individual, who should probably think about deciding whether to enter academic life full time or keep trying to split the limited daylight hours between practice and academia; passionate photographer, who also enjoys techno, jazz, pop, classical, folk and rock music, along with most stage-based performance arts. I love to travel - and you will probably be subjected to hearing about my upcoming move to the norther hemisphere at some stage! - but haven't done nearly enough in the past decade whilst studying. The eldest of three children (and the only girl), I'll confess to perfectionist tendencies, which I'm sure drive my brothers (aged 19 & 10) nuts on occasions. I'm easily bored (though a good book will often solve that problem!), but don't need others to keep me entertained .... thank goodness for the Internet! I'm not a fan of computer games, but have been known to lose a couple of hours to SSX:On Tour or to one of the Buzz games for PS2.

So - I guess now would be an appropriate time to tell you the motivation behind this Blog, huh?

Okays .... from time to time I see, experience, hear, read SOMETHING that just makes me want to tell my friends about the total absurdity of the world. And since every now and again I want to go back and revisit an idea, this blog will let me keep a record of my evolving ideas, arguments, concepts and positions. It will also give my friends an opportunity to comment in an open forum. Given I've occasionally been accused of having a pogo-stick for a mind, this may also keep those around me from going nuts! At any rate, this blog will definitely end up being Random musings on life!

Anyhoo - I guess we'll see what happens.
